Lamborghini promises to provide a general overview of its new model at the Paris Motor Show this September. The new Lambo is designed to replace the Murcielago, which is already the final modification of the Countach design and the next year it would be 40 years old. The new Italian supercar will get the name Lamborghini JOTA. It will have a brand new V12 engine, designed by Volkswagen engineers. It is set to generate 700-750 hp, which is fifty “horses” more than the old engine from the Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, and Reventon. The acceleration to 60 mph will take only 3 seconds and a top speed will exceed 215 miles per hour. The car will be equipped with a 7-speed gearbox. It will be shorter and 300 kg lighter than the Murcielago. The model will receive a new frame of carbon fiber with aluminum to minimize its weight.
The 2012 Jota will be powered by a 7.0-liter V12 engine that will produce in excess of 700bhp and 700Nm of torque (there are voices suggesting it will be 720 HP).
