2013 Ford Atlas first introduced in Detroit Motor Show 2013. It’s not much different from a regular f-150. The automaker say that the Ford Atlas Concept will comes with the next-generation of EcoBoost Powertrain that comes with a plenty of features. The engine will also incorporate start-stop technology, but it will be calibrated for a truck aplication. Saving fuel is going to be a bog deal for the Atlas Concept. That’s why the EcoBoost engine for the Atlas uses gasoline direct injection and turbocharging to deliver fuel economy gains up to 20 percent and reduce CO2 emission up to 15 percent, compared with larger displacement engine. So, it will not only saving fuel but also keep your money on your wallet.
2013 Ford Atlas also introduce two new tech features that help with towing. A trailer Backup Assist, is basically an enhancement on automated parking system that will giving an easier way to the driver to back the trailer without having to worry. Then, there’s the Dynamic Hitch Assist makes use of a 360 degrees camera that provide a bird-eye view of the truck which help the truck’s hitch with the trailer coupling and giving the driver a virtual assist via center display screen on the truck.
