Toyota FT-86 Open Concept Review and Specs
Toyota unveiled the new concept car Toyota FT-86 Open Concept at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. This variant will become as “study model” of FT-86 Convertible development.
FT-86 Open Concept is a convertible car based from Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S.
Previously rumored, Toyota will introduce GT-86 Convertible in Geneva. But it turns out, the car that showcased in this event is just an Open Concept variant of FT-86 as early recognition.
This model will be called FT-86 Open Concept as an initial introduction before the model was produced. In fact, the overall design is similar to the production model, just there is a little change.
The cabin of this concept car is identical with FT-86 Coupe model that already on showrooms. Comes with colors combination of white in exterior and navy blue for interior and also gold stitching accents on the floor mats and the seats. The car is also equipped with small audio system. The pedals uses mild steel with metallic accents and a few other changes.
Technically, nothing has changed from the 2.0 liter four-cylinder Boxer engine that owned by Subaru. The engine produce up to 200 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque. Mated with a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive system.

Because of this is a concept car that was created to test and verify the potential market of sport car, we are not sure this concept car will going to mass production. But we guess this model will go on sale as FT-86 Convertible model. Pricing details of Toyota FT-86 Open Concept is not available at this moment.
